Bing – I Love You!
Call it boredom. Call it preoccupation. Call it a seven year itch but whatever it is I think I’m falling out of love with my long-time love and think I might be falling in love with another. For the last seven years Google has been my constant, my one and only the one I leaned on, the one I gave my heart too (and my money) but now Bing is here and she’s new, exciting, and interesting in so many different ways. At first I thought she was MSN with new lipstick and a fancy outfit. However, I feel like I’m thinking about search in a whole new way. I find myself lying in bed at night thinking about what the future holds for us. What will others think? Will they judge me? Call me crazy? Heck I don’t care. I’ll say it once and for all – Bing I love you.
Some might ask, “What do you see in her?” well I see the future and Google sees it too. Bing not only provides search results but tries to understand me and what I’m looking for. Sure Google is trying but if Google really loved me they’d have shown me they understood me long ago.

Bing I Love You
Well mark my words, now that Yahoo is a distant memory Bing is in second place for Prom Queen and will do everything possible to close the gap. Don’t be surprised if you hear in the next little while that Bing will be powering search for Facebook and AOL in deals that would be close to 100% rev share for Facebook/AOL.
Let me share a few other things with you that I think are pretty great about Bing:
- Microsoft Advertising Intelligence
- Microsoft adCenter Desktop
- Dynamic Text Insertion
- Demographic Targeting
- Incremental Bidding (By Day of Week and Time of Day)
